Every other year the Executive Committee of the Lebanese American Renaissance Partnership chooses a corporate leader from the Lebanese Diaspora to lead the trip to Lebanon. In November 2006 LARP I corporate leader is George Hage of San Diego, California.

George Hage was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1958. He came to the United States in 1978 and completed a degree in automotive design and technology at Southwestern University in 1983. After he was naturalized as a citizen, he married Abeer Risheq in 1984. They have three children, Chuck born in 1985, Tina born in 1987 and Chad born in 1994.

George Hage joined Hitron System of Korea in 1986 and started Hitron USA in 1990. Today, the Hitron Group is the largest manufacturing of CCTV security equipment in the world. It has factories in Korea, China, Japan and offices and warehouses in the United States, Europe and the Middle East occupying more than two million square feet of space. The group employs more than 1700 workers of whom 450 are engineers.

Forbes magazine ranked IDIS, a member of the Hitron group number 62 in the world in terms of growth for companies under one billion dollars.

George Hage is an honorary commander of the sheriffs deputy association, a member of the board of the Holy Spirit University Foundation of which he has been chairman since 2004. He is a member of the board of Digipen Institute of Seattle a leading campus in game and animation development. The House of Lebanon in Los Angeles recently honored him.
