Dr. Ghaleb Daouk
Harvard Medical School

Dr. Ghaleb Daouk is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Nephrology)at the Harvard Medical School. He is an attending consulting Pediatric Nephrologist and Director of Extramural Services at the Boston Children Hospital, a leading Pediatric Hospital in the USA, and worldwide known medical research institute. He is also consultant nephrologists at Dartmouth Medical School and the University of Massachusetts system.

Before joining the Children’s Hospital, Dr. Daouk served as a full time staff consulting physician at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), where he initiated other activities such as remote education and telemedicine, and helped develop the International medical program within the Partners Health Care System. 

In addition to his medical expertise and training in the Harvard system, Dr. Daouk is a published researcher in molecular biology and biochemistry after his post doctoral training at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he also received a graduate Masters degree in Management of Technology from MIT’s Sloan School of Management. He is the co-founder of two biotechnology companies, and an established record in medical research and teaching. 

Dr. Daouk is active on several non-profit Boards such as his alma mater, Syracuse University where he is member and Chair of the Life Sciences committee of it’s Board of Visitors. He is a founding board member of the Boston-based Center of Arabic culture, Center for Arab American Philanthropy, the American University of Beirut Alumni organization in North America, and other educational organizations in the US and abroad.  

Dr. Daouk is married to Dr. Rima Kaddurah, and they live in the Boston area together with their two adult children.
