Mr. Elie Tony Elias
Elie Tony Elias is a PhD candidate and lecturer in History of Lebanon and the Middle East. He is currently Head of Political and historical studies department at Phoenix Center for Lebanese Studies, Holy Spirit University of Kaslik. Dr. Elias joined the Foundation for Humanitarian and Human Rights in Lebanon (FHHRL) as project coordinator to oversees the executionof training workshops on Human Rights in Lebanon. The workshop was dedicated to newly graduated law students and activists. Dr. Elias has a good knowledge in the Lebanese politicalaffairsbeing member in different focus groups of academicians andexperts since 2016. In addition, he is a researcher at the Cedar Institute for Lebanese studies, working on different reform projects on Lebanon that focus on the social and political developments before and during the Lebanese War (1969-1976), transnational extremism in the MENA region, and post-war peace processes. Founding member of the "Lebanese Heritage Foundation" that has the mission to promote the Lebanese identity and culture in Lebanon and abroad through cultural activities, academic webinars, research projects and economical exchange platforms. Elie Elias resides presently in Jounieh, Lebanonand he is a lecturer at USEK and the Lebanese American University since 2014. |
