Ms. Moussallem holds a BE in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the American University of Beirut; an ME in Environmental and Water Quality Engineering from MIT; and a PhD in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
She has more than 15 years of experience with the Lebanese public sector and international organizations in environmental policy-making, planning and resource mobilization. She co-authored a number of books and technical reports related to environmental management and sustainable development. She is also a member of the Lebanese Order of Engineers and Architects, and a recipient of the MIT Harold E. Lobdell '17 Distinguished Service Award.She resides in Beirut. Manal is interested in ancient churches and the Lebanese diaspora. She likes hiking and swimming.
