LARP on Presidential Constitutional Crises

Press Release, November 27, 2007 - Washington DC

Washington, D.C. – With the recent developments surrounding the Constitutional crisis in Lebanon, the Lebanese American Renaissance Partnership (LARP) calls on all parties involved to resolve the Presidential election as expeditiously as possible.  The people of Lebanon deserve no less than what every other nation enjoys, a head of state.

So long as the election remains unresolved, the people of Lebanon cannot plan for their economic future.  Resolving this crisis quickly will help return Lebanon's ability to compete in the global marketplace.

LARP stands united with those in Lebanon who yearn for freedom, sovereignty and independence, and it is devoted to continuing these same goals once the election of a new President takes place.

LARP is committed to support the Lebanese government’s institutions, to lift up the spirit of the Lebanese people and, in consultation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) office in Beirut, to assist the private and public sectors to foster projects that help stimulate economic growth and provide possible donations in order to encourage local governments and enhance the sovereignty of Lebanon.
